Well, the past two Sundays Al & I have caught 16 & 20 crappies…3 nice pike and 2 bluegills…all are back in the lake with the exception of 6 crappies….can you say YUM!
We are now open for business….Come on up and catch some sun, fun, and CRAPPIES!

Monday, July 5th. , my son Nick, caught an 8 lb. 4oz. largemouth in our pond. he was using a Gary Yamato senko worm ( black fleck- watermellon) On a large Texas hook. Prior to his catch ( the first 8 pounder in over 4 years—-on July 4th, 2008 , a seven lb. 8oz. was caught on the very similar worm.) the smaller bass were going crazy over this bait———other colors do not seem to work.)…….We will soon try this worm on the Pelican Lake largemouth and smallies….Would it be great if the smallies hammer this color ?We will find out in 18 days..see ya……….MD
